Cette bibliographie couvre les transformations contemporaines de la médecine tibétaine dans le monde himalayen et certains des travaux majeurs sur la théorie médicale correspondante. Les textes examinent les contextes dans lesquels se trouve la médecine tibétaine et leur mise en relation avec les dynamiques économiques et politiques modernes.
Les références qui suivent sont susceptibles d'intéresser un public bien plus large que celui spécialistes. Bien qu'hétérogènes dans leur qualité (l'inclusion d'articles moins aboutis est un choix délibéré), les écrits anthropologiques sur la médecine tibétaine apportent des indications majeures sur le rapport au corps, sur le changement social, sur les relations entre thérapeutes, patients et Etat, sur les enjeux entre médecine, politique et religion, sur les relations entre systèmes de santé, sur les transformations du champ thérapeutique et sur la place d'un savoir local au sein du marché international.
